I've seen that VO60 shot before. Do you happen to know which way the
wind is blowing? I can't see the boats well enough to tell.

BTW I trust you've read Bethwaite's "High Performance Sailing"?

The helicopter is just under the starboard bow of the closest boat.
The wind is coming from a point to the right (as we see it) of the
picture. If we could measure the exact angle of the boat, to the
vortex stream there would probably be a limited number of solutions
for the wind strength, true wind angle, apparent wind angle and boat
speed which would produce the pictured result.
