Mr. Luddite May 26th 17 01:28 PM

How the game is played

Politics is a blood sucking sport, full of innuendo, false claims and
flat out deception, all designed to confuse the public.

Here's a current example:

Leaks to the WashPost and NYTimes recently identified a person "close to
Trump" is under investigation for issues related to "Russia, Russia,
Russia".

They didn't name the "person" ... but gave plenty of hints that it was
Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law.

Now, Jared Kushner has been identified as a "person of interest", a
term that has absolutely no legal significance. All it does is create a
negative image of Kushner.

Here's the problem:

Jared Kushner unilaterally *volunteered* to appear before the Senate
Intelligence Committee last month to respond to any questions the
Committee had regarding his involvement in the Trump campaign and/or
administration.

Despite his offer, the Committee never bothered to ask him to testify.

Instead, they wait until the right moment, then leaked to the press that
Kushner is now a "person of interest" and the FBI wants to talk to him.
All this does is create suspicion of wrongdoing that has absolutely no
basis in evidence.

Political games, that's all.

The news reports I saw stated several times that there was "no suspicion
of wrongdoing" in Jared Kushner's political activities on behalf of
his father in law. He is, however, just as sleazy as Donald Trump in his
private business dealings and is, among other things, a notorious
slumlord. Perhaps the FBI is only interested in what Jared heard when he
attended those meetings with the Russians with Mike Flynn.

You are, as usual, jumping to conclusions that have no basis in fact.
In addition, your comments have nothing to do with what I posted. I was
attempting to point out the sleazy political games that are played in
order to paint a negative image of someone before any testimony or
evidence is collected. He *volunteered* last March to testify but
nobody was interested at the time apparently or felt it was important.
But, leak it out to the liberal media and press and suddenly he's a
"person of interest".

The DOJ made Kushner a "person of interest." "Have you had any meetings
with the Russians, Jared?" Oh, I forgot I met with the CEO of a
sanctioned bank in Russia. Oh, and so did Sessions and Flynn. Should we
have put that on the disclosure forms? Nah.

Why is it such a horrible thing that the administration actually knows
something about the Russians beyond the cold war rhetoric?
Do you really think Trump was not trying to **** them over too?
I keep hearing that Trump must owe Putin something. Ask those NYC
contractors what a debt from Trump is worth.
You folks can't have it both ways.

Funny thing about Kushner. With all the media talk about the FBI
wanting to talk to him as a "person of interest", to date the
FBI hasn't even contacted him.

During the campaign and after the election, it was at the very least
inappropriate, and it builds from there.

I bet after spending 100 million on all of these investigations, that

I bet after spending 100 million on all of these investigations, that
is also where it stops. Flynn may have to cop to a "failure to
register" charge (assuming he doesn't get immunity) but I doubt it
ever gets back to Trump and that is who you want to kill

How much was spent investigating HRC? It worked for the GOP, didn't it?
Certainly did with Bill. Copped a plea on the same charge they allege
against Trump with an additional perjury charge and he paid Paula
$850k. Was disbarred.

Made her into a super-villain to the gullable. She never faced a charge, and won't.
Just because she removed herself from the field and nobody gives a
**** anymore

Thing is, it's not the Dems making false charges and conducting these investigations.
It's our intelligence agencies.

The same ones who are leaking UK investigative information in the
middle of an active investigation into a terror attack. They should be
ashamed.

Let the chips fall where they may.
Trump is already a dead man walking to decent Americans.
He only has the support of the deplorables.

The deplorables seem to be almost half of the US electorate.

The winning almost half!

I wear this on the back of my 'tactical cap'.

You might want to invest in a cap that says on its back:

Right-Wing Asshole

Find the patch. Won't bother me a bit.

We as a country are fortunate to have a person with Rex Tillerson's
management talents in that position. He comes from one of the best
managed corporations in the world and didn't get to where he is
without a large amount of skill.

Whatever Tillerson's corporate skills, he's a virgin in the land of
diplomacy. Further, it appears son-in-law Jared is sec of state.

That is ridiculous, particularly when you are talking about countries
driven by business interests and not government like the oil states,
China and Russia.
