Hey FOAD, I got one for you
While comparing ACA policies to my non ACA policy, $17,479 vs $11,232
(just had an increase) Someone mentioned that a family policy in Charlotte NC was $800 a month, it turned out that was a company policy. But I compared an ACA policy in Merklenburg NC. to Bay County Fl. I used a family of 4 with a $68,000 Modified Adjusted Gross income (MAGI) Probable income was $100,000 plus. The first shocking item The Merklenburg Co. family gets a $33,072 subsidy. The Bay Co. family gets $15,192. That's less than 1/2 as much. I thought I did something wrong, so I did it again. Same answer. So I proceeded to policies. First Merklenburg policy is $0/mo to the holder, but $2,704 per month to the taxpayers. $32,448 a year, that's the cheapest plan. Second policy is $0/mo to the holder but $2,735 per month to the taxpayers. $32,820 a year. Third policy is $35/mo to the holder and $2,791 to the taxpayers. $33,492 a year. I recall you tell me I didn't know how to shop when I was paying $8,800 a year. First Bay Co. policy is $148/mo to the holder, but $1,414 per month to the taxpayers. The cheapest plan. Second policy is $180/mo to the holder but $1,446 per month to the taxpayers. Third policy is $190/mo to the holder and $1,456 to the taxpayers. Bay county is almost 1/2 the cost of Merklenburg. I don't know if there is something special about Merklenburg, it was the first zipcode when I searched Charlotte NC. zipcodes. Huge difference. Here's the link to compare policies, it's a little difficult to find. https://www.healthcare.gov/see-plans/ I used 32405 and 28105 as zipcodes in case you want to check my work. Anyone up for giving a family that makes $100,000 a year a welfare payment? Mikek --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |
