Absolutely
Y'all is singular and All Y'all is plural.
Just ask Jeff Foxworthy if you don't believe us.

I guess different areas do it differently. I don't remember the last time I heard all y'all, or a single person referred to as y'all. Oh well.

No "Y'alls" is possessive as in "Is that y'alls truck?"
You really have to get this grammar thing right. Didn't your "grammar"
teach you anything?

The possessive form of 'y'alls' is 'y'all's'. You left out an important apostrophe.

"Is that y'all's truck?"

If the truck ownership was plural, then it would be, "Is that all y'alls' truck?"

Going to a Waffle House in Mississippi once doesn't make you a "y"all" expert. I was born and raised in SC. You wouldn't hear that here, except maybe from some tiny percentage of the population that was *really* backwood and uneducated. I certainly don't hear at the office or out in public, even from the natives.

Heard from my wife who is visiting in Mt. Pleasant. As we noticed on
previous visits she commented on how pleasant and friendly the people
are there.

Hey, it's a beautiful state with many nice areas and a laid-back lifestyle. What's there to be unpleasant about? :)

The only downside is the population is exploding. The Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area is crazy, as is the Columbia midlands where I live and the Greenville upstate area. The word has gotten out.
