Weather has been bad, but show season. Went to Long Beach, CA to the Fred
Hall sports show. One of the major west coast shows. Bought a new 50#
class rod for long range fishing trips, some new Pline fishing pliers at
1/2 price. Looked at a few boats, not interested in replacing mine.
Checked out a bunch of different rods, before I bought, watched a couple
fishing seminars, learned a few things. Came down Tuesday to daughters in
Santa Monica for a couple nights. Bought a 2014 Chevy Volt in Hanford, on
trip down. Will pickup tomorrow and tow home on trailer. Good deal,
better than locally to my house. Did some work at daughters, assembled a
trampoline for the granddaughters. Installed a window flower box. Then
down to Long Beach for the show, and stay at other daughters house. Nice
weather here, 70's. Windy with some Santa Anna winds. Winds that blow
from inland to sea.

Sounds like a fun time. Too cold here yet for the boat shows. Not interested in buying another boat
anyway. One is plenty.

Today is chilly. Temp in low 40's but lots of wind. Oh well, wife's out of town and cleaning up dead
branches will give me something to do tomorrow. The warm weather here has got the grass growing
already. I'll have to mow this weekend.

So what kind of boat did you get? I'm in the middle of doing an oil
change on two main engines and two generators. Right about now a 2
stroke outboard would look very good.

I almost bought a diesel powered jet boat a year ago. Wife said I could
swap boats, but figured not use enough to spend a $100k difference. 25'
really nice Precision Weld.
