Boston Parade

Crowds estimated at near 1 million people have gathered in the snow and
rain to honor the Patriots in their victory parade. All parking lots in
and near Boston are full and public transportation both rail and bus
have been filled to capacity all morning.

The Pats will ride the parade route in 24 Duck Boats.

Good. I hope the celebration go peacefully.

No worries there. Both the fans and the player (and their families) are
having a blast. Fans tossing beers up to Gronk and others.

Nice to see a *fun* event for a change.

Consider yourself lucky if the crowd doesn't turn into a riot and burn
down the city.

Na, it didn't and won't happen. Boston is a huge party town right now.
Not only was the Super Bowl the greatest ever, so was the parade and the
number of fans that flooded into the city.

For the first time ever, they assembled at City Hall after the parade
and many of the players addressed the crowd. It was funny as hell to
watch the Governor try to talk and the crowd basically booed him off the
microphone. They didn't want to hear a politician. They wanted to hear
from the players, Kraft, Belichick and Brady.

My neighbor just helped on the restoration of a duck boat. Local winery
bought it for tours.

I've visited Boston three times on business trips. While I was
"working" the wife checks out the city. On one trip she took one of the
duck boat rides and the driver/captain let her pilot the vessel once
they were in the water. She was thrilled!
