I wrote a technical "white paper" for the marketing department of a DOD
contractor many years ago. I was new at that kind of thing and,
referencing a technical parameter, made the mistake of writing "it has
been reported" instead of citing the specific source. It was read at a
meeting and I was laughed at for a good 5 minutes.

This was Jan 6 so she has never got back up over that the edge yet.
