Yup. If you have ever gone down, cracking the whip on a ski rope, you
know the feeling. You bounce once or twice, then you break the surface
tension and go down, just like a rock.

Yup, that's a funky feeling, at least until you pop back up. Even at my slightly advanced middle-age, I still love getting on a smoothy patch of water and being thrown out at high speed on a tube. You zip across the smooth water and if you're careful, it's a rush. One misstep and you are skipping across the water and then boom, you're underwater.

Been there and done that. More than once. At least I was wearing a wet suit and a foam vest. That helped. But still felt like I got beat up.

I learned how to ski in the Chesapeake Bay. The whole objective is to
NEVER actually get in the water and falling is the worst case
scenario. If you land in a clump of sea nettles and you are one hurtin
puppy. Ski out off the dock and try to land in the boat or ski up on
the beach.

That caused me two cracked ribs on a lake in Washington. Then, while climbing into the boat, one
with a big V-8 and big chrome mufflers, I grabbed a muffler to keep from falling back into the
water. Not a happy skier!

Thanks! If you'd compared me to yourself or Krause, then I'd have been offended.
