Default Climate change

This morning at 6am it was 8 degrees when I made my daily Dunkin' Donuts
run for coffee.

Now, at 9:50am, the sun has been shining brightly for almost 4 hours
and the temp outside is .... 5 degrees.

Sure could use some global warming right about now.

Default Climate change

-14C here when I got up.
Wouldn't think of cranking the Highlander over for a short trip unless it was important.
In fact, I'd hook up the block heater for about an hour beforehand if I had to.
I also have a battery blanket but there doesn't seem to be enough room in the battery space to install it.
All this is in the interest of longevity. Hope to keep the Highlander another 6 years and that first cold start in the morning is responsible for the majority of engine wear.
On the other hand...if I had a heated garage....
