Default Talking about sneaky marketing

Wife just found a $90.85CDN charge from Amazon on her VISA.
Called visa and they advised her it was something kind of membership to get "free shipping".
Of course she did not read all the fine print when ordering in August..if it was even clearly marked. All she saw was a pair of shoes she wanted and the promise of " free shipping". She has only ever ordered a total of 3 items from Amazon and is unlikely to order much more so a $90.85 "free shipping" benefit for one year doesn't seem like much of a deal. Visa was useless and advised her to contact Amazon. She went to Amazon's Web Site and because no phone number was noted she canceled the membership on line. They promise refund within 5 working days. I'll be waiting to see how much the credit is.
You have to wonder how many people get dinged with this sneaky maneuver.
