"Deplorable" is becoming a marketing opportunity

There are at least a dozen different "deplorable" T shirt variations
here in Estero today at the trump rally. (it is the only thing on TV
right now) I have also seen a number of bumper stickers with various
deplorable slogans. Americans never miss an opportunity to capitalize
on a gaffe.

I don't think it was a gaffe. Half of Trump's supporters are deplorable.

Puts him even with Hillary, then. At least half of hers are deplorable
as well.

It is being taken as an elitist comment about the working class from
what I saw today.
I have heard references to Romney's 47% comment.

Then it is being taken incorrectly. It had nothing to do with "the
working class," and everything to do with deplorable comments and behavior.

That is the problem when you insult people. Sometime the wrong people
are insulted.
BTW did you see the LA Times article that says blacks are softening on
Hillary. She used to have over 90% support and now it is more like 71%
