Default More Dots for Harry...

....or how we went north to go south.

After leaving Cape May, NJ before dawn to catch a favorable tide up
Delaware Bay, we hit the C&D Canal at almost exactly high tide which
meant that we now had a favorable current going south in the
Chesapeake. It doesn't get much better than that. The current plan
is to take a few days R&R in the Sassafras River before continuing
south. We've got to at least wait for it to stop raining in North
Carolina.

We are still in the rainy season here so no rush.

This is Florida style "rainy season" not like that dreary months of
clouds and rain we had in DC. It is just that when it rains, it gets
on with it, dumps an inch in an hour, then the sun comes back out.
If it wasn't for the wind and lightning, it would not affect us much
at all. We are still getting out in the boat 3 or 4 times a week. It
rained north of us and south of us but we were dry, in the slot. You
just have to watch the clouds and the RADAR.
