![]() We left Long Island Sound this morning in time to catch the ebb tide down through Hell Gate, the East River and NY Harbor. It's always an interesting ride and we had really nice weather. At one time we had 5 knots of current running with us and it felt like the after burners were on. The United Nations is in session and I had some concerns about being hassled by USCG in an East River security zone but it didn't happen. We topped off with 400 gallons of diesel in Atlantic Highlands, NJ and are now staged for an early departure down the coast in the morning. Hopefully we'll make it to either Atlantic City or Cape May tomorrow. http://tinyurl.com/waynebspottrack |
