Pistol #5 (the replacement for the other Pistol #5 I just sold) arrived
at my LGS today, and I got to fondle it before it went back into the
dealer's safe for five to seven days (the vagaries of handgun purchasing
in Maryland).

The new #5 is a Smith & Wesson SW22 Victory, a .22LR "target" pistol, a
relatively new model for S&W. Brought along a few spent shells so I
could play with the trigger a little. The trigger is nice and crisp and
I'm guessing a 3 to 3.5 pound pull, stock. Fiber optic sights and
according to the spec sheet, the pistol weighs 36 ounces, so it is about
six ounces lighter than the Ruger Mark III I just sold. Has a threaded
barrel. I bought it so I'd still have a pistol that would mate with my
suppressor.

I should be able to pick it up next Tuesday or Wednesday, and I'll take
some snaps of it.

Handgun #6 is two to three weeks away from shipping. It's a .22LR revolver.

Careful...talking about 'fondling' a handgun may bring on the name-calling from your northern buddy!

Yes, please post lots of pictures because it will be more special than the thousands visible online.
If we are truly to believe you, lay the pistol on your birth certificate for the photograph.

It would be more fun to place the pistol on your birth certificate for a
photo. Oh, wait, were birth certificates issued out on the prairie?
