Pond Scum Scott back in the news...

In spite of the *unanimous* support from Republicans and Democrats in
the Florida Legislature, Gov. Rick Scott vetoed a measure that would
have provided grants for dentists to open private practices in the
state’s medically underserved areas.

House Bill 139, sponsored by Rep. Travis Cummings, R-Orange Park, and
Sen. Don Gaetz, R-Niceville, would create a program administered by the
Florida Department of Health that would provide $10,000 to $100,000
rewards to dentists working in rural or low-income communities, the News
Service of Florida reports. The grant money could have been used for
repayment of dental school student loans; investment in property,
facilities or equipment for the dental office; or expenses related to
relocation or opening of a dental practice, according to the bill.

Medicare fraudster Scott claimed the proposal was duplicative of
existing programs, but apparently the legislature did not agree. Scott
has already closed down the state’s Department of Health dental clinics
that served the indigent.

Fairly clever idea of Scott’s, actually. This way when the zombie
apocalypse hits Florida zombies will only be able to gum their victims

You left out this part

The bill “does not require dentists who receive taxpayer dollars to
hire a specific number of new employees or to serve a certain number
of low-income patients each year,” Scott said. “Furthermore, the bill
opens the door for state dollars to be used to incentivize other
high-income professionals.”

This was just another example of welfare for the rich that you are
usually opposed to.

I guess the bottom line is they paid the fines paid restitution and
justice was done.
It is still not relevant to what is going on now.

Justice was done? Hehehe. You really are a corporate whore. What was it,
a half-billion dollar fine for fraud and no one went to jail?

What the hell. Raines and his number 2 ripped off Fannie Mae for $100
million in unearned bonus money. Agreed to a Justice Dept deal to pay back
$10 million and not go to jail. That was all Clinton and Democrats.

It is ironic after all of the rhetoric that banksters, wall street and
outright fraudsters, always seem to make out best during democrat
administrations.
Democrats tend to favor companies where money makes money or they make
"nothing for something" products and republicans like companies that
actually produce something people need ... like the evil Kochs.
