When I had the RAV4 I bought an aluminum Mission 4' x 8' box type utility trailer. I wanted something light (about 280 lbs) that wouldn't rust away sitting outside year after year in our humid climate. If I had known I'd be upgrading to a Highlander in the near future, I would have bought the next size up..a 54" x 96" bed maybe with the ramps instead of tilt function.

I keep thinking about getting a small utility trailer but I am not
sure were I would keep it. So far, just about anything I need to haul
fits in the truck or on my pontoon trailer. The pontoon trailer is
good for all sorts of big stuff, (pilings, 16 & 24' sticks of lumber,
rebar etc). We are thinking about selling the playhouse I got for the
kids (a 10x12 Teds Shed) and I think I can move it on the pontoon
trailer. I am not sure I would take it very far tho.
These things are far more valuable if they are delivered.

really need to watch out west when stations are few and far between.

My wife believes that "miles to empty" is gospel and she gets it down
to single digits some time before she will stop for gas.
She just says she knows I have 20 gallons or more in the shed all the
time and I will come fuel her up if she needs it. So far it has not

Problem with that these days, are the pump in the tank cars. The umps over
heat and fail sooner, if you run the tang near empty. Even fail sooner if
you run out of gas.

Uhaul for once in a while trailer use. Cheaper, no storage problem, etc.

I have three boat trailers around the farm that i use for different applications. I bought junk boats for parts , stripped them out, and saved the trailers. set up myself.

Great for hauling all kinds of stuff.

The good thing about boat trailers is they all look similar so you can
get away with one tag for all of them. Just scrape off the name on the
non-conforming ones. Put the tag on the removable board you mount the
lights on and swapping them around is easy.

I've got one that's single axle that's really beat up I use with my tractor for firewood and drift wood pickup out in the fields. I wouldn't take it on the road. It's a small wheeled Shore Lander which was flimsy anyhow, but low to the ground and perfect for what I use it for
