Actually I thought about it and Ed is a democrat too.

He expects a bite of everything I eat, he never chips in for gas on
the boat and he doesn't have a job.

I ask him every day "did you work today"? "did you look for work
today"? "If work was available, would you be willing to work"?

He just looks at me, wagging his tail, waiting for a handout.

Sounds more like your typical corporation, waiting for a government
handout.

If it weren't for profit making corporations, the government would
have very little to hand out and most people would be living in tar
paper shacks.

Most corporate welfare is tied to promises of jobs. I am surprised you
are not in favor of that. Most of the DoD boondoggles are related to
jobs in the districts of the congressmen who vote for them,
I am still not in favor of corporate welfare tho.

Lee County is in the process of trying to claw back some money we paid
for one of these "job generators". I still think the whole idea is
flawed.
DoD contracts are usually written to insure that most of the content
is US sourced and the ones that are not should be rejected.
Wasting money on these boondoggles is bad enough but sending the money
overseas is obscene.

That bailout was more for the Union Workers than it was for the companies.

Yup, that is why the democrats all make excuses for it. The union
contracts did take a pretty good haircut but it was better than just
wiping them out completely.

That's bad but at least it's not named after the Democrat who lobbied
for it.
