My Ruger Mini 14 is the stainless model with the "plastique" stock... I
like it that way, but I'll be the first to admit the black stock adds
nothing to the "attractiveness" of the rifle.

So, while "surfing" last week, I came across a brand, spanking new wood
stock for my model of Mini 14 and ordered it. It arrived today, via the
good old USPS, and it looks nice. I haven't installed it yet (very minor
disassembly/assembly required), and it looks like I'll have to order a
nice leather cheek pad, fancier than the one I have attached to the
plastique stock.
