Got my first real political call of the year regarding the upcoming
Democratic primary...we will have an "open" U.S. Senate seat with the
retirement of Barbara Mikulski. Got a call from one of the candidates to
fill that seat, along with an invite to a "meet and greet."

Hey, first I need to read up on the guy and the gal who will be running
against him. I suspect his competitor will be the winner, but I don't
have anything on which to base that.
