Good and Bad News
After a very hard battle with lung cancer, my brother in NC died in his sleep, at
home, last night. Forty years of smoking and/or three plus tours in Vietnam with Agent Orange took their toll. He will be buried in Arlington cemetery this spring. Although not a retiree, he earned the Silver Star in Vietnam, so he's well deserving of the honor. Losing a brother is sad, but it's also a relief that the fight is over. It wasn't winnable, and his wife was having a very hard time trying to care for him at home. -- Ban idiots, not guns! |
