What it's all about!

Had my kids and their kids over for Thanksgiving. The group from Richmond arrived
Wednesday in time to go to the range and do some serious ammo wasting. The grandkids
had fun shooting the 9's and .22's, but they had the most fun shooting the Mosin
Nagant.

Of course the kids don't have to buy the ammo, so going through 60 rds of 7.62x54R
didin't phase them a bit. A couple hundred rounds of 9mm and almost 500 rounds of .22
provided them with a couple hours of absolute fun.

With two adults and three kids sharing a lane, things were a bit crowded, but all
went remarkably smoothly. Eventually another lane opened up, and we weren't as
crowded.

Lots of fun.

Nice, John! My buddy and his family stayed with us a few years ago and
we went to the outdoor range. They were all newbies so we started with
the .22 rifle, .22 pistol, and moved up from there. They ended up
shooting the .44 Magnum as well as the AR and AK. Probably $300 in ammo
for the outing but they learned a lot and had a great time. They also
know to respect guns and how to handle them properly.

When it comes to kids and shooting the cost of ammo means nothing. Besides, I picked
up a potfull at the Dick's sale.

That ammo today would be $150.00 or less. That was during the "shortage"!
