Went to Pillar Point Harbor for a weekend get together. Normally the crab
opener, but delayed this year. Went fishing Saturday, wind came up, and
drift was 1.7 mph, so hard that get the lure down to the bottom fish. Kept
one nice Black cod. Boat ran great. Was going out Sunday Morning, but as
I was finishing up my breakfast burrito, started raining. Heavy, soaking
mist, so,closed up the camper, and put cover on but at and came home. We
need the rain! Raining heavy today with some lighting.
The party was great. Everybody contributes. I made smoked Yellowfin tuna
collars in a cream cheese spread and a nice rum cake the wife made.
Someone had lamb chops. So Posole soup, lamb chops and a nice Bordeaux
wine.

Wish I'd had as much fun. Today the floor guys came to rip out the tile in the
kitchen and hallway. Lots of noise. No fun at all.

I just got back from Home Depot Had to take the truck. I hate getting 17 mpg when I

diesel).

It was supposed to rain today but it cleared off and we declared a
mutiny. We took our Wednesday boat ride today. We may go tomorrow too.

Beautiful evening and I spent a while in the pool.

Busy day tomorrow. I am putting in a little extra capacity in my
septic field. I found a guy (school teacher) with a mini excavator who
will dig the hole for $250-300. A local trucker is dropping off 5
yards of gravel about noon (half in the hole and half for my trailer
parking spot) and I will start spreading it to see how that goes. I
may declare another mutiny and get the guy up the street to send me
some labor.
After that it is set the chambers, pipe and backfill the hole.

My experience in Florida was that the state seems to be pretty lax in
terms of rules and regulations for septic systems. No inspections
required when buying or selling property. Up here a "Title V" inspection
is mandatory.

Where do you meet the boat? Is this a fly and sail?

They sail the Med at times. We saw one in Barcelona.

Amen to that. Today is miserable - chilly and wet. Not the best
motorcycle weather,
especially with wet leaves everywhere.

I'm at work and feeling much better today. When I close about 4pm I
think I'll sneak in a ride because tomorrow the storms are rolling in.

It's a ****ty job but somebody has to do it. ;-)

My experience in Florida was that the state seems to be pretty lax in
terms of rules and regulations for septic systems. No inspections
required when buying or selling property. Up here a "Title V" inspection
is mandatory.

I needed an inspection when I put on the addition.

This thing was working fine, then I had a problem. The guy found a bad
lead (tree problem) . I had a guy with a machine taking out the tree
and we fixed the damage, adding on a little since we had the hole open
anyway.
I already had a truck load of gravel coming for where I park my
trailer.

Went to Pillar Point Harbor for a weekend get together. Normally the crab
opener, but delayed this year. Went fishing Saturday, wind came up, and
drift was 1.7 mph, so hard that get the lure down to the bottom fish. Kept
one nice Black cod. Boat ran great.

Any day you get out on the water and the boat is running great is a
good day.

Absolutely, spent the last two days sailing from the Barbados, to the
Grenadines, and on to Grenada - 300 ft barquentine with about an acre
of sails.

Cool. That makes the 10x15 poly tarp we fly from the pontoon boat
really have a Cast Away look ;-)
Judy really wants to do a tall ship cruise. Is that a charter or some
kind of wind jammer thing?

It's a commercial operation called the "Star Clipper Line" or
something like that. It's an interesting experience, quite a bit
different than your normal cruise ship but with many of the same
ammenities on a smaller scale. Internet service leaves a lot to be
desired but it is available in fits and starts.

Generally yes, you have to check their schedules and book something
you like. See the web site that Tim posted.
