I've put in many 800-900 mile days on mine, and lived to tell about it. Was Ben Carson riding along with you? No, but my wife has - when she wasn't on her own bike. Did you two stop by the pyramids to check the grain supply? No, we never got to Africa. Did most of Europe though. And you? What rides have you done on that Ducati? I'm sure you've gotten in your share of long days in the saddle with that thing. Right? -- Ban idiots, not guns! I haven't taken what would be considered a *long* motorcycle ride since the 1960s, when I drove my Honda from Milford, Connecticut, to Kansas, around 1250 miles if memory serves, but I took five or six days to do it, because I was taking a bunch of short side trips off the main route. It was a "fun" ride for me. The longest rides I've taken in recent years were under 250 miles. Spending all day on a motorcycle has no more appeal to me than spending the night in a towable motel room after driving all day in a pick-me-up truck towing it. |
