Politicians, all of them, will follow the lead of the media and the
polls.
Their most closely held beliefs will be flexible ... or they will be
defeated. They might even be thrown in jail.

Wow. Clinton's views on gay marriage evolved since the 1990s. Gee whiz.
I remember when the National Review, under Wild Bill Buckley, was a
pretty thoughtful and responsible journal of the right. The right, of
course, has gone absolutely bat**** crazy, and, along with it, so has
the NR. It's just a right-wing rag.
