....and maybe cities will take police violence against unarmed citizens
seriously. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's decision to pay Freddie Gray's family a $6.4 million civil settlement drew praise and criticism Tuesday, with some Baltimore leaders saying the move will help heal the city and others calling it premature. Former Mayor Kurt L. Schmoke said the settlement — expected to be approved Wednesday by the city's spending panel — was a "very positive development for the city." "The mayor and her staff are trying to do all they can to heal the wounds in the community, and this is a step in the right direction," said Schmoke, president of the University of Baltimore. "This settlement will give some people in the community at least some sense of justice." |

It's only money (other people's money). The real deterrent will be the 6 officers charged (half black, half white) There was no discrimination here, just cops trying to teach someone a lesson. I said from the start of this one that they were talking that boy for an E ticket ride in the van.. |

FlaJim hides his insults behind his cloak of anonymity here. What few of his posts I see here second-hand indicate the skunk he is hasn't changed his stripes. When I read Harry's posts, most of which go unread, I notice that nearly 100% of them were nothing more than junior high school style insults of posters he didn't like, and he didn't like them because they were not supporters of his moronic left-wing politics. Harry hides his insults behind his cloak of anonymity here. What few of his posts I see indicate the skunk he is hasn't changed his stripes, but has become much more odiferous. -- Ban idiots, not guns! |

I'll help get him started. Levant is the meaning of the "L" in ISIL. Levant can be translated to mean- Levant(verb) to run away from one's debts; to decamp. Does that mean that ISIL is living here in America on a Maryland peninsula? And that O'Bama is watching the disservice that "H" is doing to America and the Democratic party? Might be a little too abstract for Harry, but I thought I'd throw it out for discussion. |
