Everett Mitchell: "I just don’t think they should be prosecuting cases
for people who steal from Wal-Mart. I don’t think that. I don’t think
that Target, and all them other places – the big boxes that have
insurance...

I doubt they have insurance for theft.
They lose $3 Billion a year to theft. (Walmart)
That would be a hefty insurance premium!

This guy thinks theft from Walmart should not be prosecuted.

He has insurance on his home, but he didn't give out the address.

China to replace part of the product.

China's problems are similar to ours. They are drowning in debt and
their productivity is not increasing fast enough to overcome it.
They are also suffering from cheap foreign labor. The Vietnamese and
others are now where people go for lower labor cost. Their efforts to
raise wages has priced them out of the market..

other poster took it seriously. It's not my job to help you attain your
goal as newsgroup dimwit, because that would be unfair to Ingerfool,

Oh, China's economy...two of the reasons for its problems...massive
overcapacity and slowing demand within the country and worldwide for
what it is producing.

I'm not really concerned about Walmart's problems operating its sleazy
stores. Perhaps if they hired better and smarter people, paid them more,
and had more of them on duty, they could get their "shrinkage" under
control. I do of course care when decent businesses have such problems,
and think shoplifters ought to be prosecuted.

All of the other reasons only contribute to the problems but the debt
makes it an immediate concern. The whole world has been kicking that
can down the road for 40 years and it is going to overwhelm us some
day. That day may not be that far off. It might be as simple as the
Saudis deciding to turn off the oil tap. They have gotten us addicted
to cheap oil again and we saw how that worked in the 70s when they
choked off supply. Guys like Bernie say the middle class never
recovered from the Ford/Carter crash and we are in a lot worse shape
now. The whole world is.

"Starving" may make a good bumper sticker but it is not really that
much of an issue in the US. We do need to stop borrowing money tho.
This "zero interest rate" can't go on forever and when inflation
cranks up again, that debt will be unsustainable pretty quickly.
We haven't been able to count on China to buy our debt for several
years so the fed is just printing money to cover the shortfall. We
have gotten away from it so far but that will not last forever either.

Remember Weimar Germany

If starving is an issue, think about what will happen when the dollar
crashes and brings down the whole world economy.
You might even reconsider your stance on hunting when chicken costs
$150 a pound .. if you could find it and had $150.
