The canal in Nicaragua is supposed to compete with the Panama Canal
but no one in Nicaragua thinks it's going to happen and there are no
signs of progress.

Cant find it? Maybe they're digging a massive tunnel like the illegals and drug lords make to smuggle across our border. ???

Nicaragua is only planning and hoping to build such a canal. Did someone
prank Bloomberg?

Why not. VPC has been doing it for years. ;-)

I have been hearing about this canal for a while but nobody ever made
much of a case for it. There was a very geographical reason why TR
stole the isthmus from Colombia.
It sounds like they will try to do it but they are still in the
"scratching their butt" phase, AFAIK no dirt has moved yet.
