He made as much sense today is any of the bozos I have heard,
including Hillary.
They are all sleazy *******s.

The Donald is a joke of course. Just a ploy to further another TV show
down the road.

Hillary is sure reassuring. She makes critical comments about campaign
financing and the need for reform .... as her campaign is
on track to generate record donations of over $2B.

But, on the other hand, if she ever won the White House, she has assured
us that we won't see grey hair.

If you listen very carefully to what she says (when she happens to say
anything) it becomes obvious that she's not saying *anything* profound
or imaginative. Just a bunch of mumble jumble that has no meat.

Jeb did a much better job in his announcement, putting forth goals and
his reasons for running.

Bush didn't actually say much of anything, other than pushing for
private over public schools, and the usual nonsense about being a
Washington outsider who would "change things." His previous
pronouncements on subjects such as foreign policy make him sound like
Bush-Cheney Redux. He's just another conservative christian retread.

I hope Trump stays in the race long enough to disrupt the first few GOP
primary "debates." He's going to be real trouble for the Republicans.

I agree Trump is a clown but he does seem to be able to negotiate

actually good for the US?

Trump is a liar and a bully. A well respected financial analyst once
wrote a report showing that Trump's casino project in Atlantic City
was not going well and would probably go bankrupt. Trump tried to get
him fired. It turned out that the analysis was spot on and Trump did
go bankrupt. That's not the kind of leadership and personal character
that I'd like to see running the country.

My point had nothing to do with Trump's "chances" to get the nomination.
He further cheapens the GOP brand, not that it needed more help in its
downward spiral.

Ok so what's your real point Harry. He doesn't stand a chance and you gave many reasoned why he doesn't. He'll get weeded out early so what's the big deal?

Sheesh. I thought I explained this carefully at least twice.

One more time.

The point is that the entrance of Trump further cheapens the GOP brand.
*That* is the point.

The chatter is that he won't get "weeded out" until after at least two
of the GOP candidate debates, that he will be one of the 10 on the
stage, along with the other crazies and Jeb Bush, who isn't overly
crazy* but has a closet full of other issues. Trump's presence, along
with the presence of the other loonies and haters, such as Cruz, Paul,
Walker, et cetera, once their real views become widely known, will limit
the ability of the GOP to expand much beyond its hard-core base of
wingnuts and those, like many of the GOPers here in rec.boats, who don't
really give a damn about the problems of the lower and middle income
groups, women, blacks, latinos, students, et cetera.

That's the point, Tim. Got it?

* Terry Schiavo is going to haunt Bush, one hopes.
