I bought a Mossberg 590 marine shotgun for the boat. We'll see how well
it holds up. It will need constant oiling, I'm sure but it should fare
better than blued or parkerized.

Gun 33. Good thing I bought another safe!

Congratulations on a great purchase! I'm sure a shotgun is better than throwing
sinkers at offensive boats.

"Skeet-Fishing!" I never thought of that....

Love it! Sounds like a great activity for those flying carp also.

Isn't there some redneck campground you haven't yet visited with your
rolling motel room?

My gosh, we were at Smith Mountain Lake State Park for a week, followed by a week in
southern Michigan and Shipshewana, Indiana. Have you been to either place?

SML state park is one of the best I've seen. Plus, I caught some large- and
smallmouth bass. Rented a pontoon boat, and had a glorious time with a bunch of
friends.

I suppose I missed a lot of good posts from you. My loss.

I visited and boated on Smith Mountain Lake decades ago, and I lived in
southern Michigan for three years. I avoid Indiana when I can. I did
date a Mennonite girl for a month or so when I was attending college in
Kansas. Does that count?

Count for what?

I'll bet you didn't have any fun there either.

Shame you have only one interest in life.

Fun where? Smith Lake? Sure. I was there for one night and two days.
Lots of fun in Detroit, too. The advertising agency I worked for hooked
me up as account exec and copywriter with several really interesting and
fun clients, including Motown and Gale Research Company, and the
Michigan Democratic Party.
