These are the saddlebags on the Mille. Obviously they're aftermarket bags, but they
do the job. These are Krousers. Due to their age I add a bit of reinforcement.
Wouldn't want my underwear floating across I-95.

Oh yes. "suitcase-style" side boxes. I think BMW made them popular in the mid 80's. Unless you have a European bike, they just didn't look right on anything else.

They're very handy for carrying into a motel room or whatever, but not fun to get
into on the side of the road. I carry my tools, rain gear, etc. in the topcase.

Yes, I think they were designed for quick detachment to deter theft. Not the most stylish things in the world but function overrides beauty in this case.

beautiful !!

I ran the Krausers on my r100gspd then switched over to the toploader 40 liter Caribou luggage. They use the pelican boxes with a quick disconnect system
Heading back up to AK in June with a stop in Dawson city Yukon for the Dust to Dawson (D2D) solstice party. That should put my BMW at over 200.000 miles

Its taken me two Guzzis to get to the 200,000 mile marker. I got my first Guzzi when
my brother went into the Navy. Bought it from him. I've never had a Beemer, but I've
often thought of it!

But then I'd have to get a new wardrobe!

That Caribou luggage looks pretty good on a Guzzi too.
