No John. I have seen some very nice used ones for the $450.00 range. BTW, that one in your link is a Mini-14 though. and not a ranch rifle. the dead give away is the rear sight.

'ranch'. I'm thinking the 'Ranch' means it's got a wooden stock.

John, I think all the new production mini's have a composite stock to make it look 'tactical'

It used to be that the Mini AND the Ranch were all wood stocks.
That police trade-in might be 10 years old too, (as if it would matter).


No, the model 5801 has a wooden stock and is still in the Ruger lineup. It's the one
