An unsafe gun nut. Did you look at where his trigger finger was on
that whole walk. I wouldn't walk with him.

Your lack of knowledge about the Mini 14 is exceeded only by the
foolishness you exhibit every time you shoot off your mouth on subjects
about which you know little, such as contemporary home computers, the
state of Israel, current Maryland politics, your current home state's
backwardness, Richard Nixon, et cetera.

Here's a little drawing for you:

http://tinyurl.com/ovyzy83

What I saw and heard was the fella flicking off the safety each time he
shot and then immediately flicking the safety back on. You can hear the
clicks of the safety each time and in several camera shots see him do
it. He didn't have his finger on the trigger or in the guard on the
trigger; he had it on the safety. Perhaps you should shoot your guns
more and your mouth less, especially in areas where you are obviously
ignorant, eh?

Now, if you knew what you were talking about in the Mini 14, you
could have argued Ruger shouldn't have located the safety where it did,
and I would agree with you. It could have been located entirely forward
of the trigger guard. But Ruger didn't design and build its rifle that
way, eh?

Yours for more liberal arts edu-ma-ca-shun.

OTOH you are just an asshole.
John managed to point out my error without being a prick about it.

You are not the world's greatest living expert on anything, despite your
efforts to make it appear so. Usually I just let these nonsense rants of
yours slide but it was obvious to me the guy in the vid was carrying and
shooting safely because the mini 14 is one of a few rifles on which I have
some trigger time. Perhaps you should stick to your anti Israel rants,
another of those areas in which you think you have special knowledge.

Have nice day.

Whats that supposed to mean?

I've gotten a few thousand thousand rounds in between the M16-A1, and AR's- Ruger Ranch rifles and mini-14's not counting a couple thousand rounds between M1 Garrands and the Springfield M1-A, and I'm sure Greg has done the same.

So Harry, what are you trying to tell us, that you're an expert on them?

" few thousand thousand..."

All I looked for was his trigger finger along the receiver (like most
instructors have taught since the 70s). I did not have the sound on,
listening for clicks and I did not really stare at the show. I only
watched a minute or less, doing some fast forwarding.

Unlike you, I do not find shooting water bottles from 15 feet away to
be that exciting.

I admitted I was wrong. I didn't try to weasel out of it

Good thing. If you did, you'd then be required to hire a typist, a PC operator, an electrician, a coffee pot operator, and a custodian, all union of course. Oh, and a steward to watch over it all to make sure no one did anything that was someone else's job. Just to do what you do all alone. :)
