I took the plow off the truck yesterday, thinking for the last time. Wrong again. Supposed to snow (lightly) all day and result in several inches which will have to be plowed. Boston proper is not getting anything, so the all time record will probably not be broken with this small storm. As of yesterday Boston was 2 inches short of the 130 year record. We've had more snow this winter than Boston has ... the area just south of Boston down to the Cape has consistently been the bull's eye area. I am sure our total far exceeds the official Boston record but doesn't count because it's not the major, capital city. |

Richard without the use of modern machinery, just think what it was like to put up with this 130 years ago.
Aren't you glad you didn't live in that era? |

Aren't you glad you didn't live in that era? 130 years ago, you wouldn't have anywhere you needed to go. People were a lot more self sufficient, particularly out in the countryside. === And you didn't have to worry about snow tires or getting your car shoveled out. Speaking of 130 years ago, I have sometimes teased my wife about horses and how they have reached the end of their evolutionary cycle.
