How much beer do you think will be consumed in the USA on SuperBowl
Sunday (tomorrow).

Answer: 325 million gallons.

That's mind blowing when you consider that the entire population of
the
USA, including kids and non-drinking old farts is only 316.1 million.

You need this:

Obviously, you were never a professional beer drinker. :-)

We'll not be watching the Stupor Bowl, as usual. Or drinking beer. :)

Who cares? Spend that time figuring out how you will pay all of those
taxes.

He uses the same line every year since I can remember. He needs some new
material.

A. I don't like professional or college football...too much effort aimed at
injuring other teams' players, too much a professional gamblers' sport,
and, for me, football is just as boring as golf or figure skating.

B. Beer is an occasional summer drink for me. I drink about six beers a
year and maybe two margaritas. I think it is a cultural thing...I really
don't like the taste of alcohol very much.

It has nothing to do with lowbrow or highbrow.

I am not a big sports nut but I enjoy watching the Patriots and the Red
Sox. I don't bet on anything but couldn't care less about those who do.
That's their business.

The Patriots have built an amazing team under Bill Belichick despite all
the silly controversy. Some people despise success and try to
diminish well earned accomplishments. Tom Brady is going to go down in
sports history books as one of the all time great quarterbacks. Hard to
believe he's been playing for 15 years.

Still, the summer days of baseball is still my favorite. No interest in
basketball or hockey.

I always liked beer and still do. It just doesn't like me anymore.
Happens with age. Like you, if I buy a six pack a year, that's it and
even then I usually throw a few away.

I've always liked baseball, and attending baseball games. Typically, I
use the leftover beers in the summer six pack as the boiling liquid for
hotdogs and kraut. Coronas seem to work best for this... :)

===

I've never cared much for hockey on television, but in person,
especially in a smaller venue, it is a really exciting game.
Professional hockey has way too much play acting fighting however,
much better game at the college level.

Do. It throw the beer away. Learn to make beer bread. I also use it in
marinades.
