Imagine Building a Boat 1600 feet Long
Currently under construction in Korea:
http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-30394137 It will serve as a floating plant for collecting and liquifying natural gas, thus avoiding the issues associated with building an onshore facility. Just the size of the shipyard cranes is staggering. Considering that it may be subjected to typhoon force winds, and will have pipes connected to underwater well heads, I wonder how they will anchor it? |

It'll probably be anchored similar to an offshore oil platform of think. With huge submersed pylons.
