You're right. I could not get Firefox and Win 7 to like flash. I quit
using Firefox and went back to IE. Firefox worked fine with XP though.
Chrome and Win 7 didn't want to cooperate either, so I dumped Chrome.

I still don't understand why some people have problems viewing flash
using Firefox. I use Firefox on both my Vista and Win 7 laptops and
had no problems viewing your original link.


Join the club. I don't understand either. I did everything my computer
told me to - downloaded and installed the latest stuff, kissed my
monitor, wiped off my keyboard, etc. But it just wouldn't work in
Firefox.

there are a few others, especially the Bloomberg videos, which refuse
to play. YouTube seems to do a better job with playability than
anyone else.

Youse guys need to take some liberal arts courses to learn how to use a

Are you using windows 3.1 or XP or something?


Nope. John's original link worked just fine on using Vista and Win 7
and using Firefox as the browser.

Pretty sure YouTube converts all video to Adobe Flash for playing.

There are two "plug-ins" for Firefox for Flash. The one required to
view the videos is "Shockwave Flash". The version I currently have
installed is 15.0.0.152. Don't know if it's the most current, but it
works on both my laptops.

Looks like the same version I have, which plays well except in
Firefox. YouTube videos played just fine, but very often those from
The Washington Post, for example, would just show me a black screen.
A Google search showed I wasn't alone.
