Afghan soldiers missing
Three Afghan military officers are reported missing from Camp Edwards on
Cape Cod. They were last seen at the Hyannis shopping mall Saturday evening. They were taking part in a joint training exercise at the base since September 11th. Police and military are conducting a search. "No immediate threat" to the public, according to officials as they were extensively vetted before being allowed to participate in the exercise. No panic or jumping to conclusions in the area but it's a bit strange that they haven't shown up anywhere yet. All things are possible including them becoming victims of foul play. Camp Edwards is about five or six miles from Kingman Yacht Center where I used to have the boats. |

You'd better notify the Four Horsepeople of the Apocalypse - John McCain, Lindsay Graham, Sarah Palin, and the Texas Republican politician of your choice. |

Camp Edwards is where I went, in February, to practice with the 105mm howitzer in preparation for the 196th Light Infantry Brigade's deployment to Vietnam. Nearly froze my balls off. BTW, they found the Afghans, trying to visit Canada. |

The difference being that if called upon, we would. You, on the other hand, would high-tail it down to a local community college and sign up for basket weaving 101. |

This may actually be more troubling than they have been making out. This is the second group of Afghans who have been missing and turned up near the same border crossing.. And, then again, it may be less troubling than it seems. Considering the canadian border is the main conduit for terrorists into this country, it should attract a little attention. That's a misconception. not one of your Seept 11 terrorists came from Canada...they all entered the US by other means... such as student visas. |
