Police said the 58-year-old Carlos confronted 29-year-old James Rube,
who had been trying to contact his ex-girlfriend inside the home.


During the confrontation, Carlos fired one gunshot, which struck Rube
in the head and killed him.

Carlos then called 911 to report the shooting, and medical crews found
Rube dead on the sidewalk.

Officers arrested Carlos on second-degree murder charges.

If convicted, he faces 15 years to life in prison."

JP you constantly try to make it sound like there is a new epidemic of
gun accidents and violence when the opposite is true. We actually have
a large decline in both but that is not news so nobody wants to report
it.

And it sounds like maybe he was trying to protect his neighbor.
