Just got it renewed for this year. $20 bucks plus got a brand new plate. I thought it'd be higher than that. The little Chris Craft is headed for the lake this weekend! YESSS!!!

Calif has a permanent trailer plate. $20. Permanent, but good for 5
years.

We illinois have to go through the gambit of getting a new sticker yearly but for trailers it's pretty cheap for renewal. Title transfers are another deal though.

We renew every year for trailers at $46.00 per.
I have the boat trailer and an aluminum utility trailer.

Yay! Virginia has permanent plates for trailers. Makes life easy.

I'll also have to get a plate for the big boat when I'm done fixing it the way I want it so there'll go another 20 but that's ok

Thanks Wayne. A long time coming but this will be for a local lake run. I won't be taking it out on the ohio river. In something that small I have a barge wake phobia...

I was going to add that there's many people that do take small craft out on the big rivers, but eventually I'm planning to outfit the 22' boat for a long river cruise of an approx. 200 milo run one way

"Mile" not "milo". Lol!

Well, we are supposed to get them safety inspected, which I've not done. Haven't gotten caught yet,
but I suppose my time's coming.

You plan on camping, or sleeping on the boat?

Tim June 18th 14 10:39 PM

John I wouldn't mind sleeping on the boat, but I think my wife would just as soon moor up to a place with a motel for some reason...

But at the lake I trailer early in the morning and am home after dark. That's an advantage of having a boat on wheels

Well, I hadn't thought of that, but it sounds like a pretty good idea!

What's with that huge flamingo on stilts down the street from your street?

Can you back up the utility trailer? Serious question. Short trailers
are tougher than longer trailers.

I went to my neighbor a few years back and asked that when he parks his
car to park on the other side of the drive so I can back in and out. No
difference for him really, but it make things a lot easier for me coming
in and out without a car across the street... He only parks there when
he has to and that is rare but happens cause he has three cars and likes
to work on them and wash them a lot, etc...

I find it a lot easier to back my Shoreliner double axle for the 22 than i do the single axle EZ-load for the 18

The size of the prime-mover also makes a big difference. Backing a boat trailer with the 4Runner was
a breeze compared to backing the same trailer with the Silverado. Turning radius makes a big
difference.

true. I was using a long frame Mercury station wagon. That little trailer is a bugger!
