It was more like the democrats became dominated by the unions and the
big city political machines so the rest of the country abandoned them.
Now the worst racist are in the big cities anyway. They just isolate
them selves from minorities with money and it is only when they get
outed like Mark Cuban and Don Stirling that we ever hear about them.

You're a funny guy. I remember the 2000 and 2004 Democratic conventions.
You're wrong. The Dems refused to seat the Southern racist Democrats,
and they bolted to the GOP.

Who was refused at the convention? in 2000 and 2004?
I almost believed you about 1968. These days I doubt there is any
southern support the democrats would not take.

A recent study showed that by the normal metrics the north east was
the most segregated area of the nation. (schools, housing private
clubs etc)

My mistake. I meant the 1960s not 2000. But I am sure you knew that.

More like, you do not do what we so called leaders of the party want, we
will just not let you in. We want one view. Our leadership view. Even
before we have the meeting. WE WANT YES MEN.

Typical name calling.

History, and documented.

Revisionist history. The Republicans were started as an antislavery party.
And after the war, the Democrat Carpet Baggers fully destroyed the south.
Looted it. Stole land. Took complete control of the south. 1964 Civil
Rights Act. Passed by Republicans. Biggest racist against the act?
Senator Gore. Daddy of Al.
