In the words of Billary, "at this point in time, what does it matter?"

An 18-month-old Arizona boy was killed on Tuesday after his 3-year-old
brother accidentally shot him with a gun they found while visiting a
family friend, KTVK-TV reported.

Authorities said the shooting happened around noon while the two
children and their mother were visiting the friend, an unidentified
78-year-old man. The children, their mother and the man all lived in
the same apartment complex in Payson, about 90 miles away from
Phoenix.

The Payson Roundup reported that Police Chief Don Engler said at a
press conference Tuesday night that the older boy shot his younger
sibling with a semi-automatic handgun he found in the apartment after
they “slipped into another room unobserved by the mother.”

The childrens’ mother reportedly entered the room as the gun went off,
hitting the younger boy in the head. The victim was pronounced dead at
a local hospital.

Engler said the gun was not locked away at the time the children found
it, and that no charges had been filed as of Tuesday evening. But, he
said, authorities still planned to search the man’s apartment.

So what's your point, jps. What's *your* solution?

Oh, and you missed this one, close to your stomping grounds.

63-year-old wounds intruder, The Olympian, Olympia, Wash. 01/21/14

A 63-year-old homeowner and his wife had just returned to their home in Olympia, Wash. when the
couple heard suspicious noises coming from the second floor of the house. The homeowner retrieved a
handgun, went to investigate, and happened upon an intruder, who attempted to attack him. The
homeowner responded by firing at the intruder, striking him in the leg and ending the confrontation.
Following the shooting, the criminal was taken to a local hospital where his wounds were described
as non-life-threatening. Police have no intent to charge the homeowner, with Thurston County
Sheriff’s Sgt. Ken Clark stating, “The suspect is the one who escalated the incident beyond what
initially started.”

Thank goodness he had a gun, eh?

JPS is the kind of person that could care less about the old man and his
wife as long as his personal political whims are taken care of... It's
the hypocrisy of the liberal at it's best. Remember, before he lived in
the protected gated community, he also had a handgun...
