One thing I like about Memorial Day ...

Is that we (American Legion) get to fire off M1 Garrands on public property!

I liked watching all the Harleys getting up to the Pentagon for Rolling Thunder. I didn't do it this
year, but rode by just to see the excitement while on my way to a Radio Control airplane 'fly in'.
That was pretty cool also.

We took a lady and her hubby from Judy's club out for a retirement
boat ride and came home for ribs.
We did pause for a moment at my neighbors house to render honors to
the national ensign and marine corps flag that he has flown every day,
as long as I can remember
His dad was a decorated fighter pilot in Korea now deceased.

A actually do that every time I pass tho.

Good on ya! My wife puts out a couple dozen flags along the sidewalk, which I think is pretty cool.
My younger daughter has put in her dibs on next year's Rolling Thunder. Hopefully the bike will be
running then!

Funny to see Jessi's gleaming dirtbikes parked right out front between a
couple hundred street bikes:)
