Montreal Canadians just defeated Boston Bruins 3-1 in the 7th game of their series.
Hoorah!
Next up......Noo Yawk.
The series just ended produced some dramatic, exciting games. Hope the next series is just as exciting....and of course the same end result.

Speaking of hockey I thought i'd throw this in.....

Our 'local' hockey team (St. Louis Blues) was on such a losing streak or so long, that if they made a goal their fans would start booing....

Too bad about that Tim.
I remember when St Louis first came into the league.
They seemed to get pretty respectable early on.
You may have to start cheering for Chicago, they have been good for the last few years.
I love to see the Original 6 do well, and up till last night there were still 4 in contention.

Haven't been to a hockey game in many decades. Used to watch the old
Eastern Hockey League New Haven Blades when I was growing up, and then
when we lived the Detroit area, I went to a few Red Wings games. That's
about it. Hockey was a popular sport in New Haven at the high school
level, too.

Well, things have improved in the last few years and they've been winning some games. But even inn the slump they had a great fan loyalty. I suppose it was like sitting down to a checkerboard and going a round of 'give away'. Who knows. The Blues might be the top contenders next yeear.

You never know.

I went to a few Washington Caps games but I never actually saw the end
of one. This just seems to be Ice Capades with a couple fist fights
thrown in.
Tickets for the caps were free if you bought a hot dog and a cup of
coffee at the 7-11.

I played in pickup hockey games at a lake in Woodbridge, CT, when I was
in junior high and high school. I might have been the worst ice skater
in New Haven history, but the skating and the hockey games were a lot of
fun, and I enjoyed them a lot more than roller skating. This was, of
course, hundreds of years before the invention of roller blades street
skates. In fact, I'm pretty sure I ended up fastening the trucks of my
roller skates to the bottom of a 1x6 oak board to make a homemade
skateboard.
