NASA Observatory footage shows solar flare erupting from the sun
 

Solar flares are closely aligned with weather forces here on earth,
sun spots, northern lights, radio communications, and other well known
phenomena. This NASA video shows close up video of the sun's
seething surface as flares form and erupt - just spectacular in my
opinion.
