More friggin' snow.
We were supposed to get a dusting, up to .5 in, of snow today. No biggy. Right now my back yard has
about 2" on it. I'm glad Luddite's wolf ate the damn groundhog. This ****'s gettin' old. |

Not much, but it doesn't take much to close a golf course! Nuisance snow today (1" maybe) and Saturday (2" maybe) and a growing chance of a "significant snow event" on Monday. I've become an expert at getting the plow on and off the truck this year. |

I really haven't thought much more about it because so far I haven't had any indication it needs more for what I do with it. If I discover that it's bogging down running some application or program and it needs more RAM, I'd probably look into it. But for now, it seems to run everything I do just fine. I *did* install the updates for Mavericks last night on both the iMacs. I haven't used mine since, so I don't know if I'll notice anything different or new or if it fixed any of the midi input issues Mavericks has. I doubt it since it was primarily a security issue. |

I keep a bunch of apps open, so when I switch to them, the "switch" is seemingly instantaneous. It's noticeably faster since I stuffed in the extra RAM. It also would help if you set up a RAM drive and moved music or video projects there temporarily, because the processing is much faster in RAM than it would be via hard drive access. |

Uh, foad, the Olympics have been over for a while now, so you may want to say something different about Sarah. How many Sarah posters do you have in that basement hideaway? |

I'm not sure a RAM drive is needed these days. Doesn't the app use whatever needed memory is available and write to disk when loading allows? |

If I wanted cold, I would come in their winter, not the end of summer. Snowed just above us in Queenstown. |
