Maybe it is one of those matters of faith thingies. ![]() could be, but on whose part? Those who are duped by the energy industry? Where does the propane in your big underground tank come from? Mostly it comes from natural gas pockets that also contain methane and about 5 percent propane. Natural gas is now commonly harvested by fracking. And that has what, exactly, with the duplicity of the energy industry? I thought maybe you were duped into thinking it came naturally from a cow ranch or something. :-) Did you miss this bit of news? http://www.komonews.com/news/offbeat...242429071.html I saw that. Many scientists are concerned about underwater methane releases and also that trapped in thawing permafrost. According to this guy, the danger is catastrophic and imminent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbnM1QpuwWI Ahh, yet another doomsday scenario to keep us awake late at night. ![]() |

As to a new hobby - probably none, but the week is young. How about you? Do you have any hobbies other than boating? Boating can get boring this time of year. Do you do any ice-fishing? Probably want to get something similar for your Toyota. John, I think I'm going to take up target shooting. A fella let me shoot his Smith and Wesson 686P six inch 7 shot yesterday. At 7 yards I got a pattern of about 2 inches pretty close to the center of the target. Do you know anything about this gun. I want one. Everything you wanted to know: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_765785_-1_757769_757767_757751_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y I don't know anything other than what's there. Looks like a lot of info he http://smith-wessonforum.com/search....archid=4828707 You can do a lot of reading and picture looking without joining, but joining isn't difficult. I've got a Model 28, .357/.38Special. I enjoy shooting it. It's the one my 12 year-old shot and put 12 rounds in a 3" grouping at 7 yards - single action. It was the first time he'd ever shot a revolver. He had a mix of .38 and .357 rounds. He did well. |

Some more good stuff: http://www.thesurvivalistblog.net/smith-and-wesson-686/ If it were me, and I wanted some for target shooting, primarily, I'd give to the Model 926 or 929, both in 9mm. That ammo is a lot cheaper than the .38/.357 stuff. That 929 is pretty cool. Damn, I might have to mow some lawns in the neighborhood and save up some money! And, I overlooked the 'six' above. This must be the one you shot. http://tinyurl.com/k6cnzys That 6" barrel would definitely be a help in getting a tight group. My Mod 28 has a 4" barrel. Put some wooden grips on that thing and it'd be right purty too! |
