great boating day.

Left this morning for a 2 hour tow to the launch ramp at the harbor, in
Monterey. Nice ramp, lots of parking. $2/ hour 16 max right at the wharf
area. Did not fish, as only things open are crab, sand dabs and halibut.
No halibut around, crabs are at 200' in Monterey, and do not run enough
line on my pots for that depth. Went to see Whales, and dolphins. No
dolphins. As they were around Pt. Joe and the wind was starting to come up,
so stayed away from south part of Carmel Bay. Did get as far as the
clubhouse at Pebble Beach, for the golfers. Lots of Grey Whales. Probably
saw 30 different ones. Some came up maybe 20' from the boat. Lots of
anchovies in the bay, so I think that is what is keeping so many here on
their Northern Migration. Had a lot of Humpbacks until a couple weeks ago,
but probably off to Hawaii for baby making season. Nice in the bay, lots
of sea lions, seals, couple otters, few jellyfish. Lots of kayakers and
Stand Up Paddle board users. Was ice on the boat this morning, but
probably 70 this afternoon.

Great! Temp here was 28F when I got up. Not good boating weather, or golf for that matter.

Sounds like a nice day.

I can't get out for a week or two. The boat is at the welders getting a
fixed aluminum frame built for the top. The original folding tube frame
recently bit the dust while towing through the Columbia gorge in high
winds. I didn't like putting the top down to tow...

I have a snap on trailering cover, so top goes down.
