Global Piracy Hits Lowest Level Since 2007

Good news he

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/16/world/africa/global-piracy-hits-lowest-level-since-2007-report-says.html?_r=0

Some of the reported "piracy" incidents are almost laughable however.
When I clicked on the map to get details of a relatively nearby
report, it turned out to be a freighter anchored at a port in the
Dominican Republic. Two men boarded the ship during during the night
and attempted to steal an outboard motor. Hardly the stuff of a
traditional piracy attempt.

The pirates have obviously been reading rec.boats and are worried about all the 'Ma Deuce' talk
thereon.
