Boat Transportation Question
Thanks for your time. Would any know a ballpark figure to truck a 45 foot
Ketch from Florida to California (Bay Area) ?? Are they getting a certain amount per foot? I could sail it to Corpus Christi Texas to keep costs down if they are totally outrageous. Has anyone done a Panama Canal passage lately? What are they charging for that now a days? I could just imagine. Thanks again, I appreciate any input. |
Boat Transportation Question
I was quoted $6,000 to truck a 41 footer from St Petersburg, Florida to
Tacoma, in Washington State, last year. Corpus Christi wasn't a great deal cheaper. "musical stairs" wrote in message ... Thanks for your time. Boat Transportation Question
Thanks Danny, do you remember what company that was? I haven't
called anyone yet as we are toying around with so many ideas about getting the boat here. Looks like trucking it is going to be the way. Thanks again !! "Danny" wrote in message ... Boat Transportation Question
I recently looked into transporting a 27' boat from Maryland to Connecticut
& got a wide range of prices. The high was $1833. A broker for a group of transporters gave me a price of $1100. A company out of the yellow pages gave me the low $695 & negotiable. I was suspicious of the $695 price and asked the transporter to have his insurance company fax me a certificate of insurance. He said no problem but I never received it. My suggestion is to shop around & ask for their insuarance certificate. Marc |
