No more need be said. A few years ago, local private boat anchored in ship channel under the San Rafael Bridge. Smaller tanker hit the tower fenders avoiding running down idiot private boater. Coast Guard made the private boat liable for damage to the bridge fenders and any repairs to the tanker. Do not know if he had enough money, or is now broke! |

I was surprised to see so many yachts sailing near that ship and also the ship making such way. I mean it seemed to be really zooming along. Looked like an overly congested area ripe for such an incident. |
